What happens during the appointment
The appointment starts with a calm introduction to the stylist and the salon environment, giving your child time to acclimate. The service includes a haircut, a keepsake locket of hair, a certificate, and a keepsake photo. The full service is scheduled for 30 MINUTES and is priced at $35, allowing a focused, short experience for young children.
Our stylists aim to keep the visit gentle and predictable, minimizing surprises that can upset toddlers or infants. Sweet & Sassy of Scottsdale's location near Loop 101 and the Talking Stick area makes drop-ins and commuter appointments convenient for families coming from Phoenix, Tempe or Mesa, while seasonal visitors find us accessible after nearby attractions and events.
Keepsakes and what they mean
The keepsake locket contains a small lock of hair saved from the haircut, presented to parents as a tangible memory of a child’s milestone. The certificate marks the occasion and is suitable for framing or adding to a baby book. The keepsake photo is taken during or right after the service so families have a visual record alongside the locket and certificate.
These mementos are designed to last and to be shared within families, but they are simple keepsakes rather than technical records. We prepare the locket and certificate during the appointment so parents leave with the full set. If you want a copy of the photo for multiple family members, ask during booking so we can tell you about available options.
Preparing for the visit
Plan for a 30 MINUTES appointment so your schedule allows transition time before and after the haircut. Arrive a few minutes early to check in and help your child settle; short waits reduce stress for little ones. The service price is $35 — that includes the haircut, locket of hair, certificate and a keepsake photo provided at the visit.
Our Scottsdale location is adjacent to Loop 101 and near Talking Stick Resort, making parking and commuter access straightforward for families traveling from surrounding neighborhoods. If you are visiting after an event at nearby landmarks, allow a little extra time for traffic and use Valley Metro or Scottsdale Trolley connections if that fits your plan.
